Connecticut is the Latest State to Safeguard Employees Social Media Accounts

The Nutmeg state has become the latest state to pass a law protecting the social media accounts of employees.  SB 426 prohibits employers from requiring applicants or employees to provide them access to their personal social media accounts.  Violations of this law can result in a $500 fine for the first occurrence and a $1,000 fine for any subsequent occurrence.
